Congratulations to the Port Perry High School curling team on winning the Gold Medal at the LOSSA Curling Championships held at the Oshawa Golf & Curling Club on Tuesday. With the win, Port Perry has earned their spot at OFSAA Curling Championships in Kingston March 19-23.
In the league final, Port Perry faced off against the very strong Uxbridge Secondary School team, which includes PPCC members Alex Greenwood and Andrew Jackson. It was an exciting, back-and-forth game with outstanding shots being made by both teams. This game would have to go an extra-end with Port Perry securing the 7-6 victory.
Congratulations to Port Perry team members Ryne Fisher, Owen Porteous, Canyon Myers, Danika Keeler, Cooper Puterbough, Riley Cavanaugh, and Brooklyn Roach on a very successful season! The team finishes league play, undefeated with an overall 10-0 record. On behalf of the PPCC membership, we wish you all the best in Kingston! Go Rebels!
