In the last notice I used the phrase “for the time being”. Since that notice more has changed. Your Board of Directors held a conference call earlier today and unanimously agreed that we must curtail all club operations for the remainder of this curling season. This means that all regular curling leagues, including playoffs, any hosted CurlOn/OCA events, all rentals, all banquets, indeed all club social gatherings of any type are hereby cancelled.
You may have already, or may yet, receive communications from your respective League Rep about how they may determine league outcomes and about possible rescheduling of socials, banquets, golf tournaments etc. for dates much beyond the usual curling season. These are still points of discussion and as things unfold more will become known. However, as of now, all the original dates for the usual and already planned end-of-season events are cancelled. The club is essentially closed.
In the meantime, we have some practicalities to deal with. We will have various members of the Board opening the doors this week to allow you to drop in and clean out your lockers. We are not suggesting that you have to, but if you would like to, here are the arranged times for this coming week …
Mon. Mar. 16: 10 to 11 a.m., 1 to 2 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m.
Tue. Mar. 17: 10 to 11 a.m., 1 to 2 p.m. and 7 to 8 p.m.
Wed.Mar. 18: 7 to 8 p.m.
We also have a Board of Directors position that requires an election. We are working out the details of how to provide the ability to do that electronically, avoiding the need to come by the club again to fill out a ballot. More will be explained in a separate email in a few days.
We would also like to make sure that questions and communications are dealt with consistently so please use the Send Us an Email form to get in contact with us.
Thanks for your understanding as we continue to deal with these unprecedented circumstances. Please keep an eye on your email and on this website, for any further updates. And stay well!
On behalf of your Board,
Fred
