To the Membership,
Since my last notice to you about our club's preparedness and response to the growing concern about COVID-19, the situation has continued to rapidly evolve. Several of the leagues have asked questions and/or expressed concerns as to how we might manage members and guests who have been travelling recently. That discussion expanded to note the many neighbouring municipal facilities and amateur sports associations that have curtailed their operations for the foreseeable future.
With that as context, your entire board has been in communication through last evening and this morning and have reluctantly agreed that we have a responsibility to cease the operation of our club for the time being, effective immediately.
There are more decisions still to be made regarding rentals, an upcoming OCA event and league banquets. As these are resolved, further emails will follow.
